(Vegan) spelled pie made from yeast dough - our new baking mix. A dream for all fairy enthusiasts!

The yeast dough can be prepared in a vegan or non-vegan version (see preparation steps) and is particularly popular with children.

From a bottle about 12 pieces of spelled bread rolls or 2 striezel are made, which go perfectly with the coffee as a sweet dessert!

Ingredients 100% from Austria:
We only use ingredients that come from Austria. We make sure to use regional and sustainably grown products - of course only the flours from our Stöber mill. Of course, we also do without the use of genetic engineering, artificial flavors as well as colors and preservatives.

Our dough made from yeast dough consists of the following ingredients: - Wheat flour
- Sugar
- spelled flour
- Salt
- dry yeast
- hibiscus powder
- lemon powder
- Lollipop

It's so easy to bake 12 spelled biscuits or 2 spelled strudel:

Remove the fairy flowers with a small spoon, put them in a bowl and set aside. Place the remaining baking mixture in a large bowl.
Vegan version: Warm the oat drink (see milk line) and 80 g vegetable fat in a saucepan until the fat dissolves. Let it cool down lukewarm.
Classic variant: Lightly heat milk (see milk line) and 80 g butter in a saucepan until the butter dissolves. Let it cool off lukewarm and stir in an egg for 2 minutes.
Add the lukewarm milk mixture to the baking mix and about 4 minutes
knead by hand, with the food processor or with the Thermomix.
Let the dough rest covered in a warm place (~ 24 ° C) in the bowl for 30-60 minutes.
Knead the dough briefly and bring it into your desired shape (e.g. form 12 small balls). Tip: a little flour helps with the shaping. Place the balls on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Cover and leave the dough covered in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven (top-bottom heat 190 ° C).
Cut balls with a sharp knife or scissors.
Vegan version: brush with water
Classic version: coat with yolk-milk mixture (mix 4 tablespoons milk & 1 yolk).
Sprinkle balls with fairy flowers.
Bake in the oven for approx. 15-20 minutes, remove from the baking sheet and let cool for 10 minutes.
