Baking bread in the Dutch Oven - a new trend that is becoming increasingly popular. Our delicious Dutch Oven Bread is not only successful in the Dutch Oven on the grill or in the oven, but of course also in the classic way and without Dutch Oven in the oven. The special thing: the rub
Our perfectly created rub is in a small sack and is on top when you open the can. The rub gives the bread a special taste and is spread on the bread before going into the oven or on the grill.
The rub can also be used to marinate meat, vegetables or grilled cheese. Place meat, vegetables or grilled cheese on the grill and brush with the rub!

We only use ingredients that come from Austria. We make sure to use regional and sustainably grown products - of course only the flours from our Stöber mill.
Of course, we also do without the use of genetic engineering, artificial flavors as well as colors and preservatives.
The Dutch Oven Bread consists of the following ingredients:
- wheat flour

- Rye flour
- Dry baker's yeast
- Barbecue sauce on a tomato base with smoke aroma
- Sunflower seeds
1 baking mix results in a loaf of bread or approx. 1,000g bread

It's so easy to bake 1 kg of Dutch Oven Bread:
Remove the rub (small spice ball) from the sunflower seeds and crumble it in a small bowl with your finger. Add 5 tablespoons of apple juice or beer, stir and set aside.
Place the remaining baking mixture in a bowl, add 380 ml of water (see water line on the bottle) and knead the dough by hand, food processor or TMX for approx. 3 minutes.
Let the dough rest in the bowl for approx. 20-30 minutes at room temperature (~ 24 ° C).
Knead the dough briefly and shape it into bread. Let it rest covered for about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat the Dutch Oven to 250 ° C in the grill or oven.
Mix the rub into a creamy (spreadable) consistency. Tip: small pieces can be included!
Brush the bread with the rub.
Put the dough in the preheated Dutch Oven pot and close the lid.
Dutch oven in the grill: Place the Dutch oven directly on the grill with the lid closed, indirect heat, close the lid and close the ventilation slider. Bake for 20 minutes at 250 ° C, then switch down to 180 ° C and bake for about 20 minutes without a lid. Dutch oven in the oven: bake at 250 ° C top and bottom heat for 20 minutes, then switch down to 180 ° C and Bake for about 20 minutes without a lid.
Tip: at a core temperature of 95 ° C the Dutch Oven Bread is ready!
